Today's Task

  1. Mobile audit. Open every page on your phone. For each:
  • Is the text readable without zooming?
  • Are buttons large enough to tap easily?
  • Does the navigation work?
  • Do images load quickly?
  • Is the CTA visible without scrolling?
  1. Cross-browser check. Open your site in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Note any layout issues.
  1. Content proofread. Read every page out loud. Catch typos, awkward sentences, broken links. Check that all phone numbers and email addresses are correct and clickable.
  1. The trunk test (from Don't Make Me Think). Print your homepage (or hold your phone at arm's length and squint). Can you quickly identify:
  • Site name/logo
  • Page name
  • Main navigation
  • The primary CTA
  • "You are here" indicator

If any of these aren't obvious at a glance, fix them.

  1. Ask someone outside your business to complete one task on your site: "Find out what we do and contact us." Watch them (or ask them to screen-record on their phone). Where do they hesitate? Where do they get confused? That's what you fix.

Output: A mobile-ready, cross-browser-tested, proofread website with at least one user test completed.
