The Lesson
Building a business is not one big launch. It's a hundred small experiments. The businesses that grow are the ones where the owner runs experiments consistently — not the ones who do one big campaign and hope.
The weekly cycle: One piece of content. One conversation with a customer. One thing improved.
That's it. Every week. The content builds visibility (Step 1) and trust (Step 2). The customer conversation gives you research (what do they want, what almost stopped them, what would they tell a friend). The improvement compounds — 52 improvements per year transforms a business.
Today's Exercise
- Set a recurring weekly reminder for your growth habit. Pick a day and time. Make it non-negotiable.
- Write down your first three weeks:
- Week 1: Content = [what], Conversation = [with whom], Improvement = [what you'll change].
- Week 2: Same structure.
- Week 3: Same structure.
- The conversation is the most important part. Call or message one existing customer and ask: "What almost stopped you from buying from us?" The answer becomes next week's content and your next improvement.
Output: A 3-week growth habit plan with specific actions.
